The 'soothing vocal flicks' of Tiz McNamara

Singer-songwriter with more than six million streams on Spotify to play Róisín Dubh

TIZ MCNAMARA has seen his independent releases achieve more than six million streams on Spotify, and feature on the British soaps Hollyoaks and Emmerdale. He has also performed with Paul McCartney and BRITS ‘Critics Choice Winner’ James Bay.

The Irish born singer-songwriter, who is a former student of Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, plays the upstairs bar of the Róisín Dubh on Wednesday August 7 at 8pm.

Tiz's music has been played on BBC Radio 2 and Amazing Radio, and he has performed at Electric Picnic, Indiependence, Sea Sessions, and Castlepalooza. His EP, April Fool, will be released in 2020. The Liverpool Echo said he has "the ability to serenade a million sinking ships with his soothing vocal flicks and joyously tasteful guitar strokes".

Support is from Mayo-born singer-songwriter Faraway Martin, who recently released the single, 'I Wanna Go'. In September he will also under take the '32 gigs 32 days 32 counties' tour, going from venue to venue in a campervan.
