Get singing at the Pálás

The Cure, Elton John, and a Tarantino menu

SING ALONG to classic Elton John hits as his life story unfolds before your eyes; see The Cure play their greatest songs in London; eat from a menu inspired by Pulp Fiction - that will be a Royale with Cheese then.

The Pálás Cinema will hold a number of food and music related events this weekend and next, starting tomorrow at 8.30pm with a special sing-along edition of Rocketman, the magnificent Elton John biopic/musical, with Taron Egerton delivering a first rate performance as the singer-songwriter (whisper it, it's better than Bohemian Rhapsody ).

On Saturday [July 27] at 10pm, the Pálás will screen The Cure – Anniversary 1978-2018, Live in Hyde Park, with Robert Smith and Co, playing songs from the band's peerless back catalogue. It is directed by The Cure's long-time collaborator Tim Pope, who made many of their classic videos

Friday August 1 at 7pm sees the Pulp Fiction Supper Club in the cinema's Merrow Bar. There will be a menu inspired by Pulp Fiction as part of the Pálás's Tarantino Retrospective. There will also be a screening of the film.

Supper Club and cinema ticket is €30 per person. Dinner is served from 7pm and the film starts at 9pm. For reservations contact The Merrow (091 - 394076, [email protected] ).
