Tough times for Karl Marx

Margaretta D’Arcy and Gerry Conneelly present Rochelle Owens play at the Galway Fringe Festival

LIFE IS tough for Karl Marx. He is on his uppers with a family to support, he is ravaged by boils, and writing The Communist Manifesto is proving much harder than anticipated. He has a lot on his plate.

This is The Karl Marx Play by New York playwright Rochelle Owens, which will be performed in The Black Gate Cultural Centre, St Francis Street, on Sunday July 28 at 4pm, as part of the Galway Fringe Festival.

The role of Karl Marx will be taken on by well-known Galway actor and writer Gerry Conneelly. An anarchic comedy, it has been called "a feast of delicious logic" by the Village Voice.

The show is curated by Margaretta D’Arcy. Admission is free but donations for performers are encouraged.
