Four performances of a show mixing music, Irish folklore, and French theatre techniques

CLEITE, THE site-specific theatre piece which fuses sean nós; the Basel masks of French theatre director Jacques Lecoq, and west of Ireland folklore, will be performed in Connemara next week.

Cleite tells the story of a woman waiting for her husband to return back from sea. She tends to her garden, keeps house, and listens to the radio. Suddenly she catches a glimpse of a swan feather on her doorstep and life is never the same again. The play is bilingual, performed by Philippa Hambly, and features sean nós song by award winning singer Caitlín Ní Chualáin,
