No Stairway to perform Led Zeppelin I and II

50th anniversary of Zep's first two classic albums to be marked in Galway

AN E chord on a Fender Telecaster; an E chord on a Gibson Les Paul; both played at the 7th fret by a young Englishman; both the first track of his band's first two albums. Music was never the same again.

Those songs were 'Good Times Bad Times' and 'Whole Lotta Love'. The albums were Led Zeppelin and Led Zeppelin II. Both were released in 1969. Both were by Led Zeppelin, and that guitarist was Jimmy Page.

Both albums celebrate their 50th anniversary this year, and to mark that, and celebrate the extraordinary music within, the brilliant Galway Led Zeppelin tribute band, No Stairway - Steven Sharpe (vocals ), Ronan O'Malley (guitars ), Bill Dunne (drums ), Shane O'Malley (bass/keys ) - will play both albums in their entirety back-to-back, at the Róisín Dubh on Friday July 5 at 9pm.

No Stairway have won praise for both their musical prowess and uncanny ability to recreate the electric live performances of one of the best rock bands the world has ever known. Admission is €10.
