Abstract art in Kinvara

New works by Debbie Browne, Mary Queally and Diana Rock,

AN EXHIBITION of abstract painting by Debbie Browne, Mary Queally and Diana Rock, will be launched by the artist Patsy Connolly, in Kinvara Courthouse, tomorrow at 7.30pm.

Debbie Browne, Mary Queally and Diana Rock, originally met while attending an abstract painting workshop given by Rita Wobbe in New Line Studios in the Burren. This led to a shared love of the process of abstract painting and an enthusiasm for each other’s work. Over the last two winters they continued to meet regularly to paint.

.

Although abstract in execution, Queally's work is inspired by landscape and spirituality; Rock's by nature and organic patterns [a detail from one of her works is featured above]; and Browne's by energy and colour. The exhibition, hosted by Kinvara Area Visual Arts, runs until Sunday June 30. Gallery opening hours are 11am to 5pm daily. All are welcome.
