Trainees wanted to help document the Galway Film Fleadh

Gréasán na Meán Skillnet in association with the Galway Film Fleadh has announced another exciting year of Film Fleadh TV. And it is looking trainees.

The organisation is looking for creative, enthusiastic, motivated, talented people who are willing to learn from some of the best in the industry — in Mojo techniques, interviewing, editing, social media, and storytelling skills. Then combine these new skills to create, shoot, edit, and upload a comprehensive look at the 31st Galway Film Fleadh.

This year will be the launch of the iMojo element for the programme with stories and packages to be created on-the-fly and uploaded from phones, which will be combined with traditional media techniques and skills.

The course is being run by Gréasán na Meán Skillnet as part of Skillnet Ireland's re-skilling and upskilling programmes, designed exclusively for people seeking employment.

This training is free and is open to most unemployed people, subject to eligibility criteria. Skillnet Ireland is funded from the National Training Fund through the Department of Education and Skills.

There is a comprehensive training week starting on Tuesday July 2. The course will continue through the Galway Film Fleadh from July 9 to 14, and the course will finish on Wednesday July 17.

It is an intense, fast paced training environment that will give you unique insight and access to industry professionals, as well as giving you new skills and confidence in a media environment.

To apply send your CV with a short cover letter to [email protected] before June 21.
