There is good news for Renmore this week as the area is to get a new bus route.
Bus Éireann bosses have confirmed that residents of Melody’s Court are to receive a new five day bus service.
It will run from Monday to Friday departing at 10am from the Kingfisher Club and returning from Eyre Square at 1pm.
The complex itself comprises elderly persons, people with disabilities, and able bodied persons and it is hoped that the service, which will be wheelchair accessible, will further allow the people to go about their daily lives with greater ease.
Local councillor Leahy Mary said, "I am delighted to see the implementation of this service as it will enable the residents of Melody's Court to go to the city centre and conduct their business knowing that a bus service will be available daily to them. I am particularly heartened by the fact that this was an earlier project of my late father's and I am delighted to have progressed same to fruition”.
