Some three km of avenues, from the Abbey to the six acre Victorian walled garden - previously closed to the public - have just been opened to visitors to Kylemore Abbey & Garden.
These new walkways add to the existing two km of walks to the Connemara based abbey. Past the garden there is new access to a two km avenue loop taking walkers as far as the west gate of the estate at Tullywee Bridge.
This development will enhance the visitor experience at Kylemore, which includes the Abbey, Gothic church, and Victorian walled garden. The craft shop and restaurant remain open daily for groups and individuals.
This April, Kylemore Abbey (closed Good Friday ) is marking the opening of the new walks at half price. The discount applies to the full adult rate only. Children under 12 free. Family rate is €20
