JJ WHITEHEAD has "a genuine gift for saying the most outrageous things in the most disarmingly charming fashion”, according to the Toronto Sun, and is “intensely likeable, seriously funny," says The List.
This award winning Canadian comic brings his fearless, yet charming wit, unabashedly personal stories, and blistering social satire to the Comedy KARLnival at the Róisín Dubh on Tuesday [May 28] at 8pm.
Whitehead has been on Live At The Comedy Store, The BBC Stand Up Show, and numerous festivals, including 14 appearances at the Edinburgh fringe. He also enjoyed a No 1 album on iTunes last year, and was nominated to the Writers Guild of America for his work on The Jim Jefferies Show. He is also Jim's opening act in America.
Also on the bill is Paul Crowley who has won notice for his hilarious take on life as a modern Irishman and father. He has been a finalist in Capital Comedy Club Awards, Paddy Laughs, and the Tedfest Toilet Duck Award. Support is from the winner of the 2019 Dublin’s Next Top Comic competition, James Cadden. His comedy has been described as darkly irreverent and energetically boisterous.
