Self Help Africa will hold its rescheduled table quiz in Tom Sheridan’s Pub, Knocknacarra, on Tuesday May 14 at 8.30pm with proceeds going towards the charity’s work in Uganda and Malawi.
Along with a top prize for the winners there will be lots of spot prizes and raffle prizes on the night, and all funds raised will go towards supporting Self Help Africa. Specifically the quiz will help to fund the charity’s work in Uganda and also towards its Malawi Emergency Appeal. Close to a million displaced people in Malawi are in need of assistance in the aftermath of Cyclone Idai.
Entry is €10 each or €40 for a team of four and there will be lots of prizes to be won. People or companies can also sponsor a round of questions for €50 per round, and there will be 10 rounds of questions. Anyone who would like to donate a prize or make a donation can do so by contacting Ronan Scully at [email protected], phone 087 6189094; or Aoife Rankin at [email protected].
The quiz master on the night will be the great Sean O Leidhinn. Self Help Africa thanks its committee members and supporters for organising this event.
