My name is Enda Loughney, I moved to Galway from Mayo all the way back in 2005. I have studied various media-related courses while bartending and living here on and off over the past 14 years, this city has inspired me to go further away and explore life, but it has also drawn me back to it whenever I returned home to Ireland. Over the years Galway has changed as a city on the surface, but remains the same underneath a gem of Irish culture.
I love to sit by the water write, think, relax and come up with ideas or just take a load off my mind. You are never stuck for a moments entertainment. There is a nest of opportunities here.
Galway is the friendliest little city in the world and I just adore it. If you survive the rotten, damp winter's and make it to Spring and Summer here there is no place in Ireland you could rather be. A great pint of Guinness and fantastic Craic be it down the west (in Carroll's where I work I'm biased ) or in the East village so many great watering holes no matter where you are in the city.
With 2020 around the corner I am so excited to see what will be on offer. It's going to be a massive period for Galway, I am ecstatic to be part of it. Gaillimh abú Agus Mayo for Sam!!
