Family-run Armour Locksmiths has been in business for 18 years on the lower level of the Eyre Square Shopping Centre. As well as operating out of the shop the company provides the entire west of Ireland with a full locksmith service, travelling to homes and businesses and giving security and peace of mind to clients.
Armour Locksmiths offers a range of services including installation and repair of locks and safes, opening locks and safes when keys are lost, and copying all types of keys including immobiliser car keys.
The company supplies security grills, CCTV, and automatic gates along with keys, locks, safes, letterboxes, engraves keyrings and signs, and a range of useful gadgets and tools.
With more and more people losing faith in banks, Armour Locksmiths has seen an increase in the sale of safes and, unfortunately, a rise in break-ins. “If there was one product I could recommend to further secure your home, it would be a snap-resistant cylinder,” said Emmet Taylor of Armour Locksmiths. “Unfortunately most people only hear about these after they've been burgled, when recommended by the gardaí. Other popular items we sell include patio door bolts and diversion safes, which are safes disguised as a plug socket, canned foods, a book, or a candle. If you're in a situation where other people such as staff members handle your keys, make sure you have your locks on a restricted key system where keys cannot be copied without your authorisation.”
