Diarmuid Doherty, general site manager of Valeo, presents a cheque to Western Alzheimers.
Valeo R&D centre in Tuam, Co Galway, raised €25,000 for Western Alzheimers, which has its head office in Ballindine, Co Mayo.
The presentation cheque was the accumulation of the hard work carried out by Valeo volunteers and employees over the past year.
Each year Valeo nominates a charity partner, which for 2018 was Western Alzheimers. A number of employee fundraising initiatives were held throughout the year, including a tea day, wax off, and a pub quiz.
Western Alzheimers offers services and facilities, such as in-home support and respite care to families and carers throughout the counties of Galway, Mayo and Roscommon.
The Western Alzheimers Tea Day on April 12 was the perfect opportunity to present the cheque and thank Western Alzheimers for its contribution to the community.
