THE BURREN landscape and a song by the great Cork singer-songwriter John Spillane have inspired a new exhibition of paintings by the artist Jim McKee, which opens this weekend.
The Dance Of The Cherry Trees will be opened by John Spillane - who may also perform that song - this Saturday at 1pm in The Kenny Gallery, Liosbán. This new exhibition, by the Tyrone born McKee, who lived in the Kinvara/Burren region for many years, features oils and watercolours and is a "springtime celebration" with the motif of cherry trees running through most of the works.

All are welcome to the launch which will also feature music by Galway band Back West. The exhibition continues, Mondays to Saturdays, 9am to 5pm, until May 3.
