COUNCILLOR NOEL LARKIN would like to take this opportunity to THANK all those who voted for him previously, to represent East Galway City for the past 5 years. During this time he had the honour of serving as Mayor of Galway City (2016-2017 ). All proceeds of Noel's Mayoral Charity Ball went to Blue Teapot Theatre Company, Galway Parkinsons Association, Sonas Mervue, Crannóg - Brothers of Charity and ISPCC/Childline Galway. Also, during his term as Mayor, the following accolades were bestowed upon our City: European Green Leaf Award 2017, European Region of Gastronomy 2018 and European Capital of Culture 2020.
COUNCILLOR NOEL LARKIN has worked tirelessly on the following issues within the Community: preventing illegal encampments, eliminating anti-social behaviour, highlighting the scourge of illegal dumping, ensuring the elderly and vulnerable citizens of our community are adequately protected, ensuring effective spending of Local Property Tax, supporting the Outer Ring Road Project to relieve the chronic traffic congestion, supporting small businesses and job creation.
