A new specialist social media agency, Food Social, working exclusively with the food and hospitality industry has just been launched in Galway.
Food PR & Communications is an award-winning communications agency specialising in food, drink and hospitality, which was set up in 2004. Food PR works alongside some of the biggest names in food and hospitality in Ireland, and seeing the need for a social media add-on service have developed the newly-launched independent agency Food Social.
Olivia Collins, Director of Food PR and Food Social, said they have found that even some of the leading food business owners in Ireland have struggled with managing their social media presence and growing their social channels, so Food Social developed organically as an answer to their clients’ growing needs.
“We have now launched Food Social as a stand alone agency and with all the benefit of having our Food PR team at hand. Many businesses are not using social media to properly communicate key messages about their business. Part of our offering is working with each client to reveal their true voice and find their position in a crowded space. ”
Food Social’s highly-specialised team combine their knowledge of the food landscape in Ireland with their passion for all things social. Their expertise differentiates Food Social from other social media agencies, as they understand the unique challenges within the industry and know how best to position a client’s brand, connect with their target market and set them apart from their competitors.
The Food Social process begins by undertaking an in-depth social media audit to review a client’s social media presence and past performance, which will inform the creation of a bespoke social media strategy to suit each client’s needs. This strategy focuses on finding a client’s unique voice, identifying key messages and target market, as well as competitor analysis.
“We believe online positioning is just as important as offline reputation,” she said. “All of our campaigns recognise the need for a strategy in both, and that each strategy must be unique in terms of content, tone and style. We have developed our online offering, telling stories digitally, and growing our clients’ loyal social following.
“Social media is the strongest form of communicating a brand has at its disposal, and it falls firmly into the realm of communication. Communicating is the basis of our profession and we are delighted to now be able to offer a full service of PR, media and social service to food clients. ”
Using the same energy and creative process that Food PR puts into PR campaigns, Food Social develops social media campaigns which drive engagement and increase brand awareness, as well as creating compelling, original campaign-based content including copy, graphics, and video content.
Services Food Social offer include competition and promotions management, social listening and engagement, and social media advertising. Food Social understands the value of reporting and provide regular reports outlining the metrics and insights across the client’s social media channels and the results for each campaign’s objectives, including engagement, brand awareness and bookings.
Levels of service can be uniquely tailored to clients’ requirements from exclusively campaign-based strategy to full social media services with engagement and monitoring.
Food Social currently work with Glovers Alley by Andy McFadden, Esquires Coffee, The Kings Head, Food PR and The Dockside Deli and are actively seeking and adding new unique clients.
