Emma O’Connell, teacher and prominent pro life campaigner has announced her selection to run as the Renua candidate in the Gort Kinvara area for Galway County Council elections in May.
Ms O’Connell, the director of the only crisis pregnancy centre in the West of Ireland, has pledged publically to address water safety in and around the River Corrib in the city, following on from the recent tragic deaths of young people in Galway.
She is the only candidate running from the town of Gort and has focused her campaign on renewing business and trade in the town beginning with a complete review of rates in the area.
Ms O’Connell is also keen to address illegal dumping in the area using CCTV, gaps in public transport in South Galway and local services for residents such a out of hours access to pharmacies. Her campaign launch is taking place in Sullivan’s hotel Gort at 7pm on March 29. All are welcome.
