Boston Scientific — creating a home for talent

In a unique recruitment strategy, Boston Scientific (global leader medical device manufacturer ), and their recruitment partner, HERO Recruitment have created a Great Comeback Roadshow as a proactive recruiting strategy, designed to encourage skilled talent in Australia to relocate to or come home to Ireland.

In March, representatives from both companies, including HR and Hiring Managers from Boston Scientific, will travel to Australia to meet with selected candidates in Sydney and Melbourne. They will be looking to fill positions across their three sites in Galway, Clonmel and Cork and offer unrivalled job opportunities with generous relocation packages.

“We think it’s never been a better time for ex-pats to come home’” says Michelle Kilcar, Director HERO Recruitment.

“Many of our skilled engineers left during the recession for good reason, but now Ireland is the fastest growing economy in Europe and we have so much more to offer, so instead of waiting for them to come home, we’re going over to get them!”

A report, titled ‘Engineering 2019: A barometer of the profession in Ireland’, by Engineers Ireland highlighted a significant demand for engineers in Ireland with over 6,000 job vacancies expected in 2019. 94 per cent of engineering employers surveyed considered the skills shortage in engineering to be a barrier to growth.

The focus is on attracting talent across the engineering & science disciplines in the manufacturing/process/equipment engineering, quality science/engineering, electronic/test engineering, design assurance, R&D, project managers, technicians (process, quality, lab, validation ) IT, supply chain and HR.

A career with Boston Scientific offers an array of benefits, including exceptional relocation packages and highly competitive salaries. So, if you are an experienced Manufacturing Engineer or Quality Analyst/Engineer, have an honours degree in Science or Engineering and fancy working for one of the most progressive companies in Ireland, now is the time! www.greatcomeback.ie
