The purchase of Ballybane Neighbourhood Centre by new owners is a welcome move, as is the declaration that renovations are starting soon and are due to be completed over the coming months.
This is the view of Fianna Fáil Galway City East candidate Alan Cheevers, who has welcomed the purchase of the centre by Renaissance property last week. “The centre has been an eye sore for too long and has been the focus of anti-social behaviour in the area,” he said. “The purchase and the renovation works are a positive step for Ballybane. It is good to see outside investment coming into the area it’s important we encourage more businesses to open in Ballybane.”
