Much Loved Local Food and Craft Market Makes Long-Awaited Return in one of Galway's Most Storied Buildings. The Galway Food, Arts, and Crafts scene is in celebration at the announcement that Tiny Traders Village will be returning to the city this month. The much enjoyed but short-lived market will be relaunching in their new location the Nuns Island Theatre on March 16th and will run every Saturday thereafter.
Tiny Traders Village founder Paul David Murphy said that he and the Traders are “ delighted to be moving to such a beautiful venue in what is one of the nicest parts of the city” whilst the board of the Galway Arts Centre who run the Theatre said they are “absolutely thrilled” to host “such a fantastic and vibrant event” and “delighted that the market is supporting artists and the new Youth Arts Centre”
The return of market which was initially set up in Aras na nGael on Dominick Street in September 2017 will be a great boost for the local economy, and cottage industry in the City and County as it offers an invaluable platform for local producers, crafters, artists, makers and food/beverage entrepreneurs to showcase their work and get their businesses off the ground.
Tiny Traders Village will run every Saturday from 9am to 5pm and visitors can catch live performances every week from some of the very best local musical talents in addition to the huge array of products on offer.
Founder Paul David Murphy says that “the village will be the home to more vendors than ever before” and promises it will still retain the “relaxed atmosphere” it has become known for.
