FIRST BROADCAST on RTÉ in 1979, Bosco was an Irish children's television phenomenon and a shared cultural experience for a generation, and this year, Bosco is celebrating 40 years.
While no longer on TV, Bosco has enjoyed a new lease ofrlife through theatre playing to delighted family audiences around the country. On Sunday March 3 at 2pm and 4pm, the Paula Lambert Puppet theatre will present Bosco’s Garden and Snow White as part of Bosco's 40th Anniversary Tour.
Bosco is not a boy, nor a girl. Instead Bosco is a very modern puppet - non-binary, gender fluid, cheeky, funny, big hearted, irrepressible, eternal five-year-old who lives in a box, and the upcoming show promises to be an interactive live production.
