National Learning Network, Ireland's leading provider of inclusive training, education and employment access services, is now enrolling for its very popular two year QQI certified horticulture programme.
Learners will engage in both practical hands-on and theoretical training, developing a broad range of skills and knowledge required to seek employment in a variety of roles in the horticulture industry.
The programme, which begins later this month, is delivered primarily in a new horticultural unit that has been developed in Parkmore Industrial Estate, Galway. There is access to a self-contained classroom and facilities along with a large polytunnel and various areas dedicated to the growing of a wide selection of vegetables, fruit, and ornamental flowers, trees, and shrubs.
Delivery of programme material is spread across outdoors and indoors with all learners expected to participate in the various classes and horticultural related work.
This programme is available free to those who are out of work and in receipt of a social welfare payment including Disability Allowance, Disability Benefit, and Jobseekers Allowance and Benefit.
