INDEPENDENT GALWAY record label and collective Citóg Records begins a new monthly music night featuring an act from a small label/collective outside Galway in order to connect them in with the music community/audience here.
The shows will take place in The Black Gate Cultural Centre, St Francis Street, on Wednesday February 20 at 9pm, and will be headlined by Let’s Set Sail. Let’s Set Sail began as a songwriting project for two classical music students, and has since evolved into a quartet blending acoustic and synthetic textures to produce well-crafted electronic folk songs. "You're unlikely to find something directly comparable with their unique sound," said Hot Press.
The show is presented by Citóg Records and Homebeat. Admission is €5. Support is from Eoin Dolan and Jack Lee.
