Uniquely described as frighteningly imaginative spazz it is no surprise that Adebisi Shank won’t bring you your average show when they hit Stress!! at De Burgo’s tomorrow night.
Formed in August 2006, the three-man band have been a true DIY story. Having met while working on their own projects the band started playing some local gigs before eventually self-recording and releasing their debut EP early last year. After gigging the EP extensively throughout Ireland in 2007, they spent the latter half of the year hitting the UK and mainland Europe in an effort to have their sound heard. The response was outstanding and in 2008 the band finally began writing their debut album. Recording started in June, when the band saw themselves side-by-side with legendary independent producer/musician, J Robbins (Jawbox, Channels, Faraquet, Clutch ). As of late, the band have just returned from a tour in Japan and are looking forward to touring their native land before heading off to tour Europe from October to December.
