Open day at the International School of Make-up Artistry

The International School of Make-up Artistry in Galway has a wide variety of diploma courses to suit all ages and levels. Whether you are just starting out and would like to become a professional make-up artist, or you currently have a qualification in make-up or beauty and would like to enhance your skills, the college has courses designed to suit.

Many graduates are now enjoying freelance careers as make-up artists. There are many great advantages to a freelance career, as you can design your career to suit your lifestyle. Some graduates continue with their full time or part time profession and opt to work part time as a freelance make-up artist, specialising in wedding make-up and special occasions. Others work full time as freelance make-up artists. Others have chosen to work for a cosmetic company. This is a great option also as there is a wide variety of career choices when working for a company, which offers many perks, such as discount on the products, plus opportunities to do make-up for events, such as fashion shows and TV. Every day offers something different for a make-up artist, which is part of the fun when having such a creative career.

The International School of Make-up Artistry has helped place more than 90 per cent of its graduates in secure employment worldwide. The qualifications from the school are recognised internationally and graduates are qualified to work in Ireland or abroad as make-up artist, and are eligible to receive insurance cover as professional make-up artists.

The School of Make-up Artistry has been in operation for more than 30 years, and many companies contact the school on a regular basis when they are hiring for full time/part time and freelance opportunities.
