Open evening at St Nicholas’ Parochial School

St Nicholas’ Parochial primary school will hold an open evening on Wednesday February 13 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. On this evening parents will have an opportunity to take a tour of the school, to meet the teachers and parents, and have a cup of tea and a chat.

St Nicholas’ Parochial Primary School is a co-educational, multi-denominational, child-centred, school with a long tradition of serving the youth of Galway. It is centrally located in Woodquay (beside the Town Hall Theatre ) and due to the central location of this Galway Primary School, the pupils have the opportunity to attend many different educational events held in the Town Hall Theatre, local bookshops, the Black Box Theatre, the museum, the library, and many other interesting locations.

The school has a low pupil-teacher ratio, large spacious classrooms, and high tech IT facilities. The school aims to create a safe and secure learning environment where children feel valued and happy. Children are offered support and opportunities to develop life skills that will help them to engage with further education and personal development throughout their lives. The staff encourage them to try as many activities as possible and to make the most of their many talents.

The school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities including hockey, drama, Chinese, French, zumba, yoga, rugby, football, and swimming every Wednesday in Leisureland for all classes. Above all, St Nicholas’ Parochial School is a family, and this vibrant school community is welcoming and inclusive.
