CRACKLING IS fried or roasted in pork fat, or the rind on a roasted pork joint. Combine that word with the Irish term for fun and mischief, 'craic' and you get Craicling.
Craicling is appropriate title - given it involves humour and porcine references - of the new show from Foil Arms & Hog, which runs in the Black Box Theatre from Thursday February 14 to Saturday 16 at 8pm.
Former children and regular eaters Foil, Arms & Hog, whether online or on stage, are among the best loved comedians in Ireland, having won critical and public acclaim for their brilliant sketch comedy live shows and online shorts.
In Craicling, the trio conduct a class on how to hold a baby, sing a Gregorian chant about life as a monk; and re-enact the assassination of a classically trained actor. Expect, as Chortle.co.uk said, "an effervescent hour of fast-paced gags, fizzing with energy, invention and great lines”.
