Local men’s health clinician Aoife Ni Eochaidh, chartered physiotherapist, has announced details of the upcoming men’s health seminar. It will take place on February 4 in The Ardilaun Hotel, from 7pm to 9pm. Cost is €10, payable at the door. Tea and coffee is included, along with a free raffle.
This event is for men and their relatives trying to improve their health. The event will also be of interest to those with constipation, prostatitis, a history of prostate cancer, bladder, bowel, and erectile dysfunction. Skin problems and bone health will also be covered. Samples and handouts will be given, questions will be answered.
Dr Mary Rogan, GP and psychosexual therapist, will talk about sexual function and renegotiation of intimacy after prostate cancer treatment. Aoife Ni Eochaidh, chartered physiotherapist, will talk about therapies for erectile dysfunction, bladder and bowel dysfunction and bone health, incontinence associated dermatitis, and other related skin problems. Mathew Burrows, iMEDicare, will talk about a therapy for erectile dysfunction and new products for men’s health issues. Dr Catherine Dowling, consultant urologist, University Hospital Galway, will speak on prostate cancer, urology, and general men’s health.
