St Anthony’s & Claddagh Credit Union and St Jarlath’s Credit Union joined forces last year to launch Renovate360°, an innovative new home property renovation loan.
According to Lisa Stewart of St. Anthony’s & Claddagh Credit Union, they talked to their members and discovered that more and more people are considering renovation as a way of developing the home of their dreams.
“We also talked to local businesses and suppliers – architects, builders, tradespeople, energy efficient home experts, interior designers – to get a greater understanding of the marketplace.
“As a result, this new loan covers all aspects of a renovation project from planning to building to interiors and everything in between. We called it Renovate360° because it’s for all parts of the home including things like new kitchens, attic conversions, insulating, extending or full renovations,” she added.
The loan collaboration was the brainchild of the two credit unions who understood that their members were looking for a better and less complicated way to source finance when they wanted to improve their property.
With Renovate360° credit union members can now borrow at very competitive rates with a €20,000 renovation loan costing as little as €52.21 per week and €50,000 only €130.52 per week.
Shona O’Dwyer from St. Jarlath’s Credit Union says it is a very simple process to become a member.
