Gardai are appealing for information following a robbery in the early hours of Sunday December 16.
A man walking home along Canal Road between 3am and 4am was approached by two men. One of these men produced a knife and demanded money.

Meanwhile, thieves stole a number of Christmas presents and €450 in cash from a house in Kilconnell at the weekend.
The house was burgled between 4pm and 9.30pm on Friday December 14. Anyone who noticed suspicious activity or vehicles in the area is asked to contact Loughrea Garda Station at 091 842870.
In a separate incident, documents and a tax disc were stolen from a blue Renault Kangoo van parked on St Bridget’s Road in Portumna last week.
This theft occurred overnight on Wednesday December 12.
