Galway’s Access Music Project will celebrate its 10th anniversary on Monday with a gathering in the St Patrick’s Band Society Hall, Forster Street, at 10am.
The special guests will be the Mayor of Galway Cllr Padraig Conneely and the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs Éamon Ó Cuív. Refreshments and entertainment will be provided.
AMP provides music support and education to musicians and music lovers in Galway. Already this year the group has won the Connaught Regional Aontas Star Award for innovative and creative adult learning.
AMP will also hold a special end of year concert and graduation for current participants, launch a CD containing tracks from AMP participants, and host its annual Big Gig in August.
