Galway man Conor Reynolds was crowned 2018 champion of Ultimate Freestyle Football at the International Centre in Telford.
The 23-year-old defeated Frenchman Wiwi with Reynolds pulling off a PATW - a triple around the world - where the freestyler kicks the ball with one foot before rotating the same foot around the ball three times before controlling it.
Reynolds said he was delighted with the victory, giving special mention to the atmosphere generated by the crowd.
"It felt great when everyone was cheering for me, it just felt incredible. I felt like all my training and hardwork had paid off and I could show my real level of freestyle.
"In the routine qualifications I placed second behind Wiwi who was in first. As the elimination rounds went on I could see who else was going to be in the Top 16 so I could work out my route to the final - knowing that if I made it that far I would most likely face Wiwi.
More than 35 football freestylers from eight nationalities took part in the competition.
Head judge Steve Gray said the level of freestyle was great. "As a judge it was not always easy. The final was incredibly close and I hope the spectators enjoyed watching it as much as I did."
Reynolds is now in Poland to compete in the Red Bull Street Style World finals against more than 50 champions from countries around the world.
