A Day Of Silence will take place in Galway on Wednesday November 28, to coincide with the international 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence campaign.
The event is organised by NUI Galway Feminist Society, with the Domestic Violence Response Galway. According to a spokesperson for Feminist Soc: "We are asking people to not speak for 24 hours to highlight the silence surround domestic violence. All proceeds will go to Domestic Violence Response Galway."
Domestic Violence Response is a Galway based organisation which offers help to those who have been affected by domestic violence. Sponsorship cards are available from Fem Soc through [email protected] or through DVR.
