A SENSATIONAL live performer, marathon runner, and former Time Out Comedian of the Year, Paul Tonkinson has long upheld his esteemed reputation as one of Britain's finest stand-ups.
Galway will see why when Tonkinson, noted for his physicality, skilful impressions, and tender comic reflections on love, family, and the day-to-day idiosyncrasies of 21st century living, headlines the Comedy KARLnival in the Róisín Dubh on Tuesday November 27 at 8pm.
The Yorkshireman first came to wide attention in 2012 with his show Paul Tonkinson: Fancy Man. In 2014 and 2015 he was Michael McIntyre's special guest on McIntyre's British (and global ) tours. More recently, Tonkinson was a winner on Celebrity Come Dine With Me. He has also presented radio shows on XFM in London and Manchester.
Also on the bill isd Ruairi Woods, who has shared stages with Colin Murphy, Neil Delamere, and Kevin Bridges, and Chris Ramsey; been featured on Late License on BBC NI; and hosts The WoodsTalk Podcast; and Niall Horisk, who has played the Comedy Crunch, Dublin; Cork Comedy Club; and Edinburgh. He was a Show Me The Funny 2017 finalist, and has shared the stage with Phill Jupitus, Katherine Lynch, and Tommy Tiernan.
