City council to screen Apartment B

“Suspicion, fear, paranoia, and you haven’t even left the house yet. Do you think it might be time you changed the channel?”

In an apartment somewhere on the other side of Galway, a man struggles to choose between illusions and reality. His television isn’t exactly helping matters.

This is Apartment B, a film commission with the Galway Film Centre and Macnas funded under the Galway City Council’s Per Cent for Art Scheme. It will be screened along with a short documentary on the making of the film, in Bar No 8, on the Docks, on Wednesday April 8 at 8pm.

Apartment B involved a series of workshops from June 2008 to March 2009 through which participants were introduced to storyboarding, camerawork, sound recording, performance, set dressing costume and editing.

Apartment B was devised, created, and performed by Robert Stephens, Keith Annis, Frank Reck, PJ Moore, and Adrian McHugh, led by workshop facilitators Martin McGagh (Galway Film Centre ) and Peter Casby (Macnas ).
