NELLY, THE rap star best known for the song 'Hot In Here', is on his way to Galway to play a 'Róísín Dubh presents...' concert at Leisureland, Salthill, as part of his current Irish tour.
Nelly rose to prominence in 2000 with the release of his debut album, Country Grammar, which has now sold more than 8.4 million copies to date. His follow-up album Nellyville, featured the No 1 singles 'Hot in Here' and 'Dilemma', featuring Kelly Roland, as well as a plethora of party anthems such as 'Work It', which featured a guest performance by Justin Timberlake.
Since then Nelly has gone on to be ranked by the Recording Industry Association of America as the fourth best-selling rap artist in American music history, with more than 21 million albums sold in the United States alone, while Country Grammar is ranked eighth in the Top 10 best selling albums of its category.
