PAUL NOONAN, lead singer with Bell X1 is taking time off from the band to pursue solo work and collaborations, with this month seeing the release of the solo single 'Moth To Your Flame', and his concert at the Galway Spiegeltent Sessions.
The song is the product of a trans-Atlantic co-operation between Noonan and New York based member of The Gloaming, Thomas Bartlett. "Like Anne Bancroft and Anthony Hopkins in 84 Charing Cross Road, we were trading musical parts over the Atlantic on t’internet," says Noonan. "It was the first tune finished of an ongoing collaboration, and I’m delighted to finally show it off.”
Noonan also provided vocals to one of the most outstanding Irish songs of 2018 - 'Take The Wheel' - by Galway based DJ/producer/musician Daithí. Paul has also released music under the Printer Clips handle as well as curating shows such as Starboard Home at the National Concert Hall.
Paul Noonan plays the Spiegeltent Sessions, Eyre Square, tomorrow [Friday October 19]. Support is from We Cut Corners. Tickets are available from www.roisindubh.net; the Ticket Desk at OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street; and The Róisín Dubh.
