In association with St. Anthony's & Claddagh Credit Union

Round eight of the Premier League ended with a whimper as Liverpool and Man City played out a dour 0-0 draw at Anfield on Sunday evening.

As the ref blew the whistle to conclude affairs in Merseyside, it signalled the final league action for a fortnight as the second international break of the season comes into focus. With that in mind, let's look at the top three of the Advertiser Tribal League in association with St Anthony's and Claddagh Credit Union.

1. Iarla Burke - Walk In The Ji-Sung - 573

Strolling into top spot is Walk In The Ji-Sung. Iarla Burke's men hold a five point lead at the top of the table with their success built on consistency in selection. In four game rounds the Walkers have only used a total of 13 players. Matt Doherty and Aaron Wan- Bissaka have been revelations at the back for Burke, with Eden Hazard and Sergio Aguero doing the damage up front. If Walk In The Ji-Sung can avoid injuries and suspensions, then they have a starting line-up that will see then challenging for the title come May.

2. Melanie Cheung - The M-Pire - 568

Defensive solidity is how Melanie Cheung has built her 'M-Pire'. The Emperors have been rock solid at the back averaging 22.5 points per week since the last international break. Marcus Alonso has been ever present in the back three and with the shrewd additions of Matt Doherty and Kieran Tripper, Cheung has a defence that is the envy of the Tribal League. However, what is letting Cheung down is the inconsistency of the midfield. If she cannot solve that conundrum, her empire could crumble.

3. Michael Walsh - Christian Picks - 556

Our leader after four rounds has slipped down the table to third. The big problem for the Christians is the impotency in front of goal. Michael Walsh's men have only managed four goals between them in the last three game weeks with their forward line failing to trouble the scoreboard. Defensively, Christian Picks have been excellent but if Walsh does not sort out the problems in front of goal, the early front runners in the league will fall off the pace.
