Harlem Gospel Choir return to the Town Hall

The inspirational power of African-American gospel music in Galway

FOR MORE than two decades, The Harlem Gospel Choir have been the USA's premier gospel choir and have toured the globe thrilling audiences with the inspirational power of African-American gospel music.

The choir are no strangers to Galway having performed here numerous times over the years. They return to the Town Hall Theatre on Monday October 22 at 8pm. The concert will feature modern gospel classics, as performed in the black churches of Harlem today. The choir's performances are renowned for their rich harmonies, dynamic sound, high-energy, and joyous exuberance.

The Harlem Gospel Choir have performed alongside Bono, Diana Ross, The Gorillaz, Andre Rieu, Damon Albarn, Pharrell Williams, and more recently with JamieXX, Raury, KBS Korean Traditional Music Orchestra and Lang Lang, Lou Gramm of Foreigner, Dee Snider of Twisted Sister, The 1975, Ibeyi, Nile Rodgers, and at the 2018 Grammy Award Show with Sam Smith. They have performed for US presidents Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter, as well as Nelson Mandela and popes John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI.
