Milton Jones - The King of Quips

The wilds haired Prince of Puns is coming to the Vodafone Comedy Carnival Galway

“IF YOU'RE being chased by a police dog, try not to go through a tunnel, then on to a little seesaw, then jump through a hoop of fire. They’re trained for that!” Such one-liners have made Milton Jones the king of quips and prince of puns.

Another example: “My wife – it’s difficult to say what she does. She sells seashells on the seashore.” If you're laughing then the good news is Milton Jones plays three mixed bill shows at this month's Vodafone Comedy Carnival Galway.

Milton is a previous Perrier Best Newcomer, the winner of two Sony Awards, and a British Comedy Award nominee. His TV credits include Live at the Apollo, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Mock The Week, and Dave’s One Night Stand. One of the UK’s most successful stand-ups, Milton’s acclaimed live shows have all played to more than 100,000 people, all of whom laughed themselves silly at lines like: “About a month before my grandfather died, we covered his back with lard. After that he went downhill very quickly.”

Milton Jones plays the Magic Mirrors Spiegeltent, Eyre Square, on Friday October 26 (with Simon Evans, Patrick McDonnell, Lost Voice Guy, and Shane Todd ) and Sunday 28 (with Kerry Godliman, Simon Evans, Totally Wired, and Angela Barnes ). Both shows are at 6.30pm. He also plays the Black Box Theatre (with Sean Lock, Simon Evans, and Phil Nichol ) on Saturday 27 at 7pm. For tickets see www.vodafonecomedycarnival.com
