Professional services and consultancy firm EY will double the number of employees at its Galway office by 2020, creating 35 new jobs in the region.
The firm, which currently offers Tax and Audit services to indigenous, multinational and entrepreneurial business across the Western Seaboard, plans to introduce a number of additional service offerings over the coming two years, including Corporate Finance and Risk Advisory, as well as enhanced specialisms and expertise to complement its existing Tax and Audit services.
The news was announced at the opening of its new expanded office space in the heart of Galway City. Following rapid growth from five to 35 employees since the office’s inception in 2016, the firm has opened an expanded, state-of-the-art office space at Hibernian House. Overlooking Eyre Square, the office has the capacity to support the firm’s ambition to continue to grow to 70 employees within two years.
Employing more than 2,500 people across the island of Ireland, EY has significantly boosted its pool of talent in the past six months, with 520 positions created across its seven offices in Dublin, Belfast, Cork, Limerick, Waterford and Galway.
