Ailbhe Griffith and Alan Gilsenan to attend screening of The Meeting at The Eye Cinema

Director and cast to take part in public Q&A tonight

THE DIRECTOR Alan Gilsenan, Ailbhe Griffith, and the cast of the acclaimed new Irish film, The Meeting, will attend a screening of the film and take part in a public Q&A this evening aty 7pm in The Eye Cinema.

In a modest room in a Dublin suburb, two people prepare for a meeting that could have an enormous impact on their lives. For both of them, it is a complete step into the unknown.

The film is based on a real meeting which took place between Ailbhe Griffith and the man who, nine years earlier, subjected her to a horrific sexual assault and left her seriously injured and fearing for her life. Griffith, in an extraordinary move, has chosen to play herself in this unique drama from one of Ireland’s most provocative filmmakers, Alan Gilsenan. What emerges is a truly unique and unorthodox cinematic experience as Ailbhe courageously seeks healing through a progressive form of justice, rapidly gaining momentum throughout the world.

Early arrival and booking is advised. Tickets are on sale via www.eyecinema.ie or 091 - 780078.
