Clarin College in Athenry (formerly Gairmscoil Mhuire, Athenry Vocational School ) is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a weekend of events to mark the occasion.
The school opened its doors on September 4, 1968, and is currently compiling a booklet commemorating 50 years of education in Athenry. Anyone who would like to contribute pictures, stories, and memories of their time in the school, can do so by emailing [email protected].
A banquet dinner will be held on Saturday October 13 in the Raheen Woods Hotel to mark the anniversary, and all those associated with the school are invited to attend. Tickets are available from Clarin College and from the Raheen Woods Hotel.
