MASTERCLASSES FOR jazz musicians will be held as part of next month's Galway Jazz Festival, with pianists Liane Carroll and Huw Warren among the musicians taking part.
The masterclasses are with Athenry bass supremo and Jaco Pastoreus devotee Barry Donohue on Thursday October 4 at 5pm in the IT Music Shop. Early arrival is advised as spaces are on a 'first come first served' basis; Liane Carroll will team up with Maoin Cheoil na Gaillimhe to present a masterclass on jazz piano and vocal technique on Saturday 5 at 3pm; acclaimed Welsh pianist Huw Warren will be putting the GJF Ensemble through their paces at the Black Gate Cultural Centre on Sunday 6 at 2pm. for more information see www.galwayjazz.ie
