Terry Alderton plays the Comedy KARLnival

Terry and two unpredictable and hilarious voices inside his head, on-stage at the Róisín Dubh

PEEK INSIDE the technicolor mind of one of Britain’s finest comic talents, and you will find Terry Alderton desperately doing battle with 'The Voices', two unpredictable and hilarious voices inside the Englishman's head.

Though often a challenge to Terry, these two different sides of his ego/conscience lead him into unpredictable comedy routines. No two shows are ever the same - and he plays plenty of shows. In the last year he has played the Melbourne, New Zealand, India, and Edinburgh comedy festivals. Next week he plays the Comedy KARLnival on Tuesday September 18 at 8pm.

Terry has been Perrier nominated in Edinburgh and recently won the ‘3 Weeks Critics’ award as well as Best International Act at the New Zealand Comedy Festival. Among his admirers are Michael McIntyre and Eddie Izzard, who proclaimed him to be a "very funny comic with a fantastic comedy mind".

Also on the bill is reigning Irish Comedian Of The Year, Lisa Casey, whose comedy has been described as "deliberately awkward...most original” by the Galway Advertiser; and Nigerian-born Irish citizen, Emman Idama, who has performed at the Vodafone Comedy Festival, Kilkenny Cat Laughs, Electric Picnic, Forbidden Fruit, and Longitude.

The MC is Karl Spain. Tickets are €6 in advance from Róisín Dubh; www.roisindubh.net; or OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street; or €8 at the door.
