This weekend sees the first two events in the ‘Taste of Oranmore and Clarinbridge’ Gastronomy Programme. This is a three-month programme of weekly events, showcasing the best from food and beverage outlets in Oranmore and Clarinbridge.
Inspired by the awarding of European Region of Gastronomy 2018 to Galway (and the West of Ireland ), the OCDA (Oranmore Community Development Association ) has curated a 13-event programme by partnering with Armorica, Basilico, Brazco, Galway Bay Golf Resort, Kate’s Café, Keane’s Bar, The Galway Hooker Brewery, The Maldron Hotel Oranmore, The Oranmore Lodge Hotel, Paddy Burke’s and The Porterhouse.
Each event has a culinary topic and aims to educate and entertain while providing a great dining experience. This weekend’s events include three bread baking masterclasses at Brazco (above Lidl ) at 10am, midday and 3pm on Saturday.
Entry is free but places are limited. Meanwhile the Oranmore Lodge Hotel will be hosting a BBQ Party from 2pm on Sunday. Tickets are €15 adults (including BBQ & a drink ) and €7.50 for kids.
Live music and kids entertainers should make for a fun afternoon for all, indoors or outdoors, come rain or shine, the Lodge will lay on a show.
