A new take on Strindberg’s Miss Julie at The Eye

Britain's National Theatre's take on Strindberg classic to be broadcast to Galway

JULIE, A re-imagining of August Strindberg’s Miss Julie, from writer Polly Stenham, is being staged by Britain's National Theatre, and will be broadcast live to The Eye Cinema, Wellpark.

Wild and newly single, Julie throws a late night party. In the kitchen, Jean and Kristina clean up as the celebration heaves above them. Crossing the threshold, Julie initiates a power game with Jean – which rapidly descends into a savage fight for survival. The production stars Vanessa Kirby (The Crown ) and Eric Kofi Abrefa (The Amen Corner ) and is directed by Carrie Cracknell.
