O’Donnellan & Joyce auctioneers, based at 5 Mary Street, Galway, has seen a record number of sales this summer in Galway city. The private treaty department at O’Donnellan & Joyce has been very busy with a number of properties coming to the market in the summer of 2018.
"The summer has been a busy three months for our private treaty team, with a number of buyers vying for the same properties," said Colm O’Donnellan of O’Donnellan & Joyce. "Galway city property sales have been very busy with every property having a number of interested parties."
For the first quarter of the year the company's private treaty department showed a growth in sales in comparison to the same quarter last year. It has had a record number of sales for the first half of the year, particularly in the areas of Knocknacarra, Rahoon, Salthill, and Bohermore.

No 5 Clybaun Court, Clybaun Road, Knocknacarra, Galway
Clybaun Court is beautiful development located just off the Clybaun Road Lower and is one of the most sought after and popular residential estates in the Knocknacarra area. This property came to the market with an asking price of €340,000. There were a number of bidders on the property, which exceeded the asking price and sold for €365,000. Also in 2018, O’Donnellan and Joyce sold No 31 Clybaun Court in excess of the asking price of €280,000.
No 16 Rusheen Woods, Shangort Road, Knocknacarra, Galway
Rusheen Woods was constructed in the mid 1990s and offers superb family living just a stone's throw from McGrath's Field, Joyce’s Supermarket, and Knocknacarra church. No 16 Rusheen Woods came to the market with an asking price of €300,000; after a number of open viewings and interested parties the property went sale agreed in excess of the asking price.
Cuirt Seoige, Bohermore, Galway
Its attractive design, location, and facilities combine together to make Cuirt Seoige one of the most desirable city centre locations. O’Donnellan & Joyce has sold a number of properties within this complex this year. No 48 Cuirt Seoige came to the market with the asking price at €225,000 and is sale agreed in excess of that. No 106 Cuirt Seoige went to the market at €210,000, and after a number of interested parties the property sold for €251,000.
No 25 Churchfields, Salthill, Galway
The Churchfields development comprises a mixture of detached, semidetached, and terraced homes and apartments. The development has been finished to the highest possible standards by premier builder O'Malley construction. No 25 Churchfields came with a price tag of €290,000 and sold for €355,500.
No 59 Drisin, Ballymoneen Road, Knocknacarra, Galway
Drisin is a much sought after development and has long been considered one of the premier residential estates in Galway. No 59 Drisin was presented in excellent condition and sold in excess of the asking price of €237,000.
No 219 Tirellan Heights, Headford Road, Galway
This wonderful property is perfectly positioned on a slightly elevated site. The rear of the property overlooks a large open green area, allowing for wonderful views over the local countryside. Located on the Headford Road, the property saw a number of interested parties and sold for in excess of the asking price of €275,000.
