The Galway minor footballers (U17 ), who recently regained the Connacht championship under the guidance of Donal Ó Fatharta, take on Clare in O' Connor Park (Tullamore ) on Sunday (1.30pm ) in the All-Ireland quarter-final.
Galway have some really fine players on this squad and are captained by Conor Raftery.
Moycullen's Paul Kelly, who has been starring this week with the Ireland basketballers, is his midfield partner.
Corofin's Matthew Cooley has been really lively at corner-forward and Eoghan Tinney and Daniel Cox are also quality players in the full-forward line.
The half-back line of Ryan Monaghan, Tony Gill and Salthill's Cathal Sweeney has also impressed, as have Cian Deane and Seán Black in the full-back line, and the side should be strong enough to get past the challenge of Clare and reach the last four.
